| Coordinate observations between
teachers - between schools. |
| Assess professional development

in-house department professional development (best practices). |
| Gather and disseminate
necessary data to the department. |
| Document, monitor and analyze
data as collected. |
| Assist teachers in interpreting
test data and applying this information for the development of their
own instructional focus calendar. |
| Assist in the proper placement
of students. |

necessary for student success. |
| Assist in developing
alternative programs and strategies for underachieving students. |
| Review current professional
literature and disseminate to the department. |
| Assist teachers with technology
implementation. |
| Assist in the development of
assessments with an emphasis on higher order thinking skills. |
| Assist in identifying areas of
need for students and teachers. |
| Facilitate examination of
student work with teachers through the use of agreed on protocols (rubrics). |
| Model a variety of teaching
strategies. |
| Meet individually with each
teacher in the department to set individual goals, assess implementation of
individual improvement plans, and examine the results of implementation. |
| Participate in coaching
professional development opportunities. |
| Participate in alternate school
visitations and district-based events where appropriate. |
| Coordinate school visitations
and classroom walkthroughs. |
| Follow all District policies as
directed by Board approval or State Legislation. |
| Other duties assigned by
