Mrs. Rice is our Department Chairperson. She is a National Board Certified Teacher.  She teaches 8th Grade Magnet Science (IAB and Pre-Engineering).   Mrs. Rice will be working on the leadership team and with the science coach to raise the level of science proficiency at C.L.M.S. this year.
Mrs. Matias is new to C.L.M.S. this year. She has previously taught at the high school level.   Mrs. Matias is interested in Environmental Science and Marine Biology.
Mr. Armus is in his 3rd year at C.L.M.S. He has experience teaching different grade levels.
For 2009-2010, Mr. Armus will join the IAB Magnet Team working to pick up new tricks and spread his influence and knowledge.
Mrs. Cook is a strong science teacher. Mrs. Cook keeps creepy crawlies in her classroom to help initiate a desire to learn science. She keeps the students safe while providing a fun learning environment with a variety of activities.
Mrs. King has experience teaching various grade levels. Mrs. King has science degrees in Geology and Biology. She is also a published scientific author!
Mr. Cagle has been a scientist for over 20 years. He came to the field of education after working in the private sector and running his own business.
Ms. Cox teaches 8th grade students at Crystal Lake. Ms. Cox showed her stuff in 2008-2009 by bringing a large number of 8th graders to proficiency on the Science FCAT. For 2009, she is in her second year at our school. Ms. Cox was recruited for her excellence in teaching from outside Broward County. (She is also working hard on her higher education degrees.)
Ms. Culbert is a former Department Chairperson for Crystal Lake's Science Department. She has worked with students of all levels in her many years at CLMS. This is a teacher with a lot to offer and is very willing to share.
Ms. Fuller is an alumnus of C.L.M.S. She is an energetic and talented young teacher. Ms. Fuller has been teaching 7th and 8th grade science.
Ms. Adams was recruited from Rickards Middle School to teach in the Magnet Program. Ms. Adams began her teaching career after working as a field scientist with the USGS in South Florida and through the Florida Keys.
Mrs. McCrary is an I.A.B. Magnet Science Teacher. She has an amazing talent for helping students find their passion. Her students create amazing science artifacts each year.
Ms. Keefe is a specialist in science education. She is an extremely involved teacher. Ms. Keefe has been the advisor for the Student Government, National Junior Honor Society, S.E.C.M.E. Club, and the coach of the girl's soccer team. This year she continues her work with N.J.H.S. and S.E.C.M.E.
Ms. Yanketis is a dedicated teacher. She was also recruited from Rickards Middle to teach in the Magnet Program.
Ms. Yanketis is one of three National Board Certified Teachers in the science department at C.L.M.S.
Mrs. Mauck is in the classroom after years of working in outdoor environmental education. She is a Pre-Engineering Science teacher who leads her students on adventurous and fun field trips throughout the year.
Mr. Selinik has been recognized as the #1 teacher for Civil Air Patrol and has taken over the CAP program with gusto. Mr. Selinik has a special talent for rocketry and brings aerospace science to the classroom. Mr. Randy Selnick is the AFA 2009 Florida State Teacher of the Year.
